Spot Illustrations

Instagram Story Digital Editorial

Commissioned by the Society of Northern Alberta Print-artists (SNAP) for their SNAPline publication. I contributed the written article, spot illustrations, and initial layout design (shown here). In addition to the research I undertook for the written assignment, I also studied Renaissance woodcuts to inform the style of the illustrations. The rectangular frames and line work resemble the carved blocks used in relief printing from that period and provide a historical reference point fitting for the timeline narrative of the piece.
